overview
At StartLabs, our events are catered to help our members grow in their entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. Thus, we expose our members to companies in different fields and industries. We organize fireside chats, networking sessions, and ideation workshops in collaboration with startups, VCs, and founders to promote a diverse set of events and cater towards all members.
startup visits
We have partnered with various companies to further understand their inner workings and daily operations. While visiting the company, we like to organize a panel or info session for our members. This is especially beneficial because it helps create job opportunities and open doors for collaboration. We hold company tours on a bi-weekly basis to explore the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Boston Area. Please contact our Founder Liaison, Max Tan maxt114@mit.edu , to learn more about these tours or to schedule one.
fireside chats
We are known for bringing world-renowned speakers to our all-team events to educate and inspire the members’ entrepreneurial mind. We hold fireside chats on a regular basis and try to have speakers from various fields. In prior years, we have had founders such as Lucy Guo (Co-founder of Scale AI), Andrew Kortina (Co-founder of Venmo), and Aman Narang (COO and Co-Founder of Toast). For more information, please contact startlabs-management@mit.edu .
team socials
Community is the most important aspect of StartLabs. For that reason, we spend a lot of time fostering meaningful relationships with one another. We have monthly dinners where the entire team can enjoy a nice meal at a restaurant in Cambridge or Boston free of charge. Additionally, StartLabs plans various social gatherings like breakfast runs or mixers to further strengthen our community.
